NORDIC HOUSE ORNAMENTS
These cute little Nordic House Ornaments speak to me of fun & whimsy! Great for all those scraps, odds and ends that we have left over from all those other Christmas projects we've been working on.

Okay - you're about to find out that I have a real big weak spot for embellishments! Ideas I've been thinking about included:
  • Embroider recipients name on house door
  • Bead, embroider or use a button for a door knob
  • Fast a fuse or applique a candle(s) in the window
  • Embroider a passage or saying -
    • Home Sweet Home
    • Home is Where the Heart Is
    • No Place Like Home
    • From our Home to Yours
  • Fill with potpourri or cedar shavings instead of batting, or
  • Fill it with rice and it can be a great decorative mantle piece
  • Print a picture and use it as one of the "windows", or
  • Super-impose your picture right onto the window

FABRIC BASKET
What a great "packaging" idea for all those Christmas gifts! This little Fabric Basket is a very multi-functional piece - sure to be used long after the holiday season!

You can give it several "looks" just by your fabric selections - florals, country, stripes, batiks, brocades, silks, and more!

To personalize it, add some pizzazz with an embroidered design or the recipient's initials. A little accent beading to outline your fabric's designs, or perhaps some beaded fringe around the top rim. There are sooo many possibilities!

A special Thank You to Karin for allowing me to share these with you! Stop by the Orangeflower Sketchbook Patterns & Tutorials blog and enjoy the many other wonderful quilting, sewing, and crocheting projects! I've not had the chance, but the Mushroom Crochet pattern is calling my name...it is absolutely darling!!

Just about six weeks or so till Christmas - YIKES!! Hope your handmade crafting plans are going better than mine...it seems I keep finding more projects but somehow my time schedule is just not being as cooperative!

Stay in Stitches!!
