Handmade HoliDaze

One of the things I love about the holidays is starting early enough in the year to be able to make handmade gifts for my family and friends. There is just something extra special about the planning, project selection, and time spent creating the perfect gift for that Special Someone. Makes the gift giving truly memorable.

I spent this last week lining up all my "in progress" projects realizing Santa's Elf had better get busy real FAST - there are only 66 days left till Christmas - yikes!
To help all the other sewing & quilting Elf's with their handmade gift ideas, we'll be featuring Handmade HoliDaze as a regular weekly posting to our blog. We'd love to hear your ideas too!

Santa's List

Abigail...........Nice..............Puppy Dog, Wagon, Pretty Dress, Ribbons
Sierra............Nice........

I had some time to play with a Jelly Roll this week - here's a quick Milk & Cookies Dress
afternoon project that is absolutely darling!! This is from Joanna Figueroa's pattern Milk & Cookies It's easy to assemble and one jelly roll will make 3-4 dresses! I've been playing with some embellishment ideas - to personalize it just for her!
  • hand applique or embroidery on the bodice
  • her initials monogrammed on the sleeve
  • a pretty little ribbon tie around the waistline
  • fabric ties from 2 jelly roll strips (sewn into the side seams)
  • hmmm, I've got one other but I've got to test it out first - I'll keep you posted!
Mention code HHBMC when you order your Milk & Cookies Kit and receive a 10% discount on the Retail Price!! (Pricing adjustments will be made to your invoice prior to our processing your payment.)

Stay In Stitches!
